This Privacy Policy applies to the Tibeb mobile application (the “Application”), developed by Samuel A. (“Service Provider”) as an open-source, free-to-use reading companion.
Tibeb is designed with privacy at its core. Our philosophy is simple: your reading belongs to you.
1. Overview
Tibeb helps you read, listen, and track your reading journey. The Application is designed to function locally on your device and does not require user accounts or personal identification.
2. Data Collection
Tibeb does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information.
- No account or registration is required
- No email or personal data is collected
- No reading content is uploaded to external servers
- No tracking or advertising SDKs are used
All reading data (books, progress, highlights, settings) is stored locally on your device.
3. Device Permissions
The Application may request limited device permissions solely for core functionality:
- Access to local storage (to open books)
- Audio playback (for audiobooks)
These permissions are used only on-device and are never shared externally.
4. Third-Party Services
Tibeb does not integrate advertising networks, analytics platforms, or third-party tracking services. Any optional open‑source libraries used are selected to preserve user privacy.
5. Data Security
Since all data remains on your device, you maintain full control. Uninstalling the Application will permanently remove all locally stored data.
6. Children’s Privacy
Tibeb does not knowingly collect personal data from users of any age, including children under 13. We encourage parents and guardians to supervise digital reading activities where appropriate.
7. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
8. Your Rights
Since Tibeb does not collect personal data, there is no stored personal information to access, modify, or delete on external systems. You may delete all app data by uninstalling the Application.
